Today in my Junior seminar class we had a presentation where we were divided into groups of five. There were fifteen people in my class today. Then, one of my classmates in my group began a discussion about delicate topics. When one of my classmates talked about her relationship with her father my group of five lost it. We cried like we had never seen each other cry before.
I said, "Wow, all of our eyes are watery" because they were and we laughed slightly.
My classmate talked about machismo and how her father embodies it and how she wishes he didn't because it prevents her from having a close relationship with him.
We all talked about our relationships with our fathers. Well, my group and I barely know each other and there we were crying so much. It was liberating and our talk made me see things more clearly in some aspects of my life.
Who would have thought you could cry with a group of students you barely know?
